Even if you don't consider your self a animal loving person, take responsibility and do not support the use of endangered species for entertainment.
"Look at this cute baby orangutan at the #Balizoo" I couldn't resist telling some Instagram users the truth behind posing with orangutans. To get one baby from the wild so that a tourist can get he's show off pic a whole orangutan family might be killed. A orangutan mother would not let hunters come close to there baby without a deadly fight as they are extremely strong. The baby will suffer a horrible stress and depression from the loss of its family. This will also lead to future psychological problems and aggressions. Also the stress from thousands of new visitors will have a huge impact on the individ. When the orangutan isn't a cute baby anymore, becoming a wild and strong teenager there is only a few sad options for its future. One is death. Second is a life long suffering in jail, in a small cage with no space for natural behaviour, hidden in a dark place. A third is training to performance. The training contains a lot of suffering and torture, the spirit of a wild animal needs to be broken. These zoos only care about profit, so naturally they need a lot of new babies all the time. They can be bred or caught from the wild. How can anyone be so blinded to believe that they (zoos or amusement parks) would provide a good life for a orangutan that can't earn them money anymore?
So i wrote a few calm comments with only facts on some random orangutan-posing pics on Instagram. One guy, australian, called me a "crazy cunt" and he also told me he has the right to do whatever he wants on he's holiday. A other person said I'm lying and that they were treated well on the zoo. She also said that "the orangutan baby will be returned to the wild". To rehabilitate a wild animal it can not have friendly contact with humans. It will be fearless and not know to hide from hunters. It will never learn natural surviving skills, like finding food. Instead of posing with tourists it should be in forrest school. Another told me that she will research more about the issue. Why does "animal loving" people get so defensive when their immoral activities are critiqued? These people knows nothing about caring or loving a animal and their needs are egoistic if they don't change after finding out the truth. A message to people who did pay fore some of these activities but now regret their actions, don't feel bad about it, you didn't know but never do it again. The truth is not in front of you and of course you want believe that the mahout loves the elephant.
There is many examples of cruel animal tourism containing lifelong suffering, malnutrition, torture and continuous humiliation: elephant riding, tiger selfies, dolphin shows, parrot gardens, orangutan boxing to mention a few. These are all very intelligent animales.
A short story about Kicki, a long tailed macaque. Her tale is gone as she had to fit in her CLOWN dress. Chopped off for amusement. Dancing and riding a bike. So funny and cute, give her a few coins! Her big teeth were pulled out to make her less dangerous. This coused a chronicle tooth infection, soon she might have no teeth at all. She is now in Tasikoki wildlife rescue where she's taken care off. Her life is better her but she will never be heeled.

Wild animales belong to the wild. They are not cute or cudly. They are aggressive and defensive. To tame them a lot of humiliation is needed.
